Welcome to the Knott Scholarship Funds Application Portal.
Henry and Marion Knott established the Knott Scholarship Funds so that academically high achieving Catholic students in the Archdiocese of Baltimore could develop into leaders who would serve their schools, communities, and the Catholic Church. These four-year, full tuition scholarships have been awarded for over 40 years and have been given to over 2,100 students. Knott Scholars have on-going requirements for grades and event participation.
The Knott Scholarship Funds Student Application Portal will be active between January 28th, 2026 and March 6th, 2026. All applicants can access the portal during that time. All completed submissions are due by 5 pm on March 6th.
If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at knottscholars@gmail.com or 443-325-7884.

Parents, Guardians and Students:
Welcome to the Knott Scholarship Funds Application Portal.
Completing the application first requires information from you about the student's current address, current school, and school where the student hopes to use the Knott Scholarship. We will need the name and current email address of the student's current school principal and new school principal. Home Schooled Students should review the information on the website regarding a substitute for the principal.
During the submission process, you will be asked to name a reference for your child. This reference may be either the principal OR a current teacher. For those students not currently enrolled in an Archdiocesan school, the principal will have to submit grades as well as potentially being the reference.
Please note: All student applicants must meet every academic qualification, as well as the qualifications for geography and religious affiliation.
- All 'A's' ( 93% or better ) input as a numeric for the last two marking periods.
- Nationally standardized test score in each of the three specified categories (Reading, Mathematics, Language Usage) of 92th percentile or higher for the January MAP Assessment Test for current 8th graders or current 4th graders. {the PAARC Test does NOT qualify as a nationally standardized test, for students not enrolled currently in Catholic School, the MAP Assessment must be administered BY a Catholic School.}
- A Composite Score on the HSPT {Secondary applicants only) of 95% or higher.
- If the student does not meet all qualifications, please do not apply.
We do not accept any additional materials outside of the application including letters of support or recommendation.
Please be sure your principal and/or teacher knows that you have sent an application and that they are aware of the deadline. Your child's application is not complete until the reference portion has been finished and submitted, and grades are submitted for students not currently enrolled in an Archdiocesan school. You should be sure you allow adequate time for the principal/teacher to fill out and submit the required reference/grade form before the deadline.
Henry and Marion Knott established the Knott Scholarship Funds so that academically high achieving students could develop into leaders who would serve their schools, communities, and the Catholic Church. By awarding up to a four-year, full tuition scholarship to the Catholic school of a student's choice, their wish was that recipients take advantage of a Catholic education to develop themselves into leaders in their school, parish, and community. We have been awarding scholarships for over 40 years, and have made awards to over 2,100 students.

Executive Director
Padres, tutores y estudiantes:
- Puntuación de prueba estandarizada a nivel nacional en cada una de las tres categorías especificadas (Lectura, Matemáticas, Uso del Lenguaje) de percentil 92 o superior en la Prueba de Evaluación MAP de enero para alumnos actuales de 8º o 4º curso. {la prueba PAARC NO califica como una prueba estandarizada a nivel nacional, para los estudiantes que no estén matriculados actualmente en una escuela católica, la evaluación MAP debe ser administrada POR una escuela católica.}
Casco Mimie
Director Ejecutivo
